Discover the beauty of Boston’s North End this holiday season! Let’s enjoy a guided tour of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, which was designed in the style of a 15-century Venetian palace and houses an extensive international art collection. After we tour the museum, we’ll explore the North End! Make the most of your afternoon in the city: follow the Freedom Trail and learn about historic sights, do some holiday shopping at Faneuil Hall Marketplace, or discover the flavors of Little Italy! Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy a day in the city (without the hassle of driving and parking)! Museum admission included. Lunch is not included. Please wear layers and comfortable shoes for walking. This course covers adult, child and infant CPR. Use of an AED. Adult, child and infant choking. How and when to call emergency services. A certification from the American Heart Association will be presented at course completion. Workbooks are not included with this class but can be purchased in advance for $10. This workbook covers CPR and First Aid. Please indicate on registration form if you want to purchase. This class is offered on three separate dates.

Join us for a fun filled class! Create a gift, continue a Maine tradition and keep Maine Green this Christmas. Make a beautiful fresh 24” balsam fir Christmas wreath. Beginners become instant wreath makers with easy clamp rings. Your wreath will remain fresh throughout the holidays and beyond. After the holidays, recycle the ring and use the balsam in a fragrant sachet. Materials provided: Freshly picked Maine Balsam Fir, red ribbon, easy clamp ring. Additional supplies available. Students need to bring gloves and small hand pruners. Please arrive a few minutes early so class can start promptly at 7:00pm. $11 materials fee payable to instructor on the night of the class

Schedule: Tuesday/Thursday 5pm to 9pm

140 Classroom Hours w/ a Clinical Externship For students who want to prepare for an exciting, challenging and rewarding career in healthcare. This program trains students to assist physicians by performing functions related to the clinical responsibilities of a medical office. Instruction includes preparing patients for examination and treatment, routine laboratory procedures, diagnostic testing, technical aspects of phlebotomy and the cardiac life cycle. Includes hands on labs and a clinical extern- ship opportunity at a local healthcare provider. To be eligible for clinical rotation, students must successfully complete the 140 hour program, submit to a thorough background check, drug screening and meet other requirements. Note: Upon successful completion of this program, students are eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) national examination. Course Contact Hours: 140 hours + Clinical Externship Student Tuition: $2,599 (Textbooks included - Board exam is an additional fee) Clinical Externship Hours: 160 hours

Gray-New Gloucester Adult & Community Education is pleased to announce a new partnership with Marshwood Center in Lewiston.  This partnership allows us to offer our CNA course for $400 and allows our students to train at the beautiful Marshwood center in Lewiston.  Our CNA program is a state approved 180 hour course designed to prepare students for the state certified nurses assistant exam and the rigors of working in the field. Students interested in the program need to contact GNG Adult Education as soon as possible to obtain an information packet and schedule a CASAS exam. 

Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6am to 2pm

Fee: $400.00

Includes all books, testing fees, CPR/First Aid and background check

In conjunction with The Driving School, driver education classes are offered at Gray-New Gloucester High School. You MUST be 15 years old before the first class. Bring the following to class: Certified copy of birth certificate, Social Security Number, pen & paper. To register call Mullens at 892-8851.

Students enrolled in this course will develop basic, everyday reading and writing skills in a relaxed, comfortable environment. This is a great course, designed to help brush up on communication skills and prepare for the HiSET. Students will learn about different types of text, author meaning, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure.
