140 Classroom Hours w/ a Clinical Externship For students who want to prepare for an exciting, challenging and rewarding career in healthcare. This program trains students to assist physicians by performing functions related to the clinical responsibilities of a medical office. Instruction includes preparing patients for examination and treatment, routine laboratory procedures, diagnostic testing, technical aspects of phlebotomy and the cardiac life cycle. Includes hands on labs and a clinical extern- ship opportunity at a local healthcare provider. To be eligible for clinical rotation, students must successfully complete the 140 hour program, submit to a thorough background check, drug screening and meet other requirements. Note: Upon successful completion of this program, students are eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) national examination. Course Contact Hours: 140 hours + Clinical Externship Student Tuition: $2,599 (Textbooks included) Clinical Externship Hours: 160 hours

If you are seeking a challenging and rewarding career in the medical field, this course will provide you with the skills and experience to be Maine State Certified as a Nursing Assistant. The course includes 110 hours of classroom instruction plus 70 hours of clinical practice at local health care facilities. Requirements include reading test, interview session, physical within last year, immunization records, and willingness to dedicate your time to this challenging curriculum.

Gray-New Gloucester Adult & Community Education is pleased to announce a new partnership with Marshwood Center in Lewiston.  This partnership allows us to offer our CNA course for $400 and allows our students to train at the beautiful Marshwood center in Lewiston.  Our CNA program is a state approved 180 hour course designed to prepare students for the state certified nurses assistant exam and the rigors of working in the field. Students interested in the program need to contact GNG Adult Education as soon as possible to obtain an information packet and schedule a CASAS exam. 

Schedule: Next class begins Fall 2017!

Includes all books, testing fees, CPR/First Aid and background check

Are you intimidated by all the technology surrounding you?  Join us to conquer your fears and dive into the world of computers.  This class is designed to be a friendly, informal introduction suited for students who are completely new to computers or have dabbled a little.  Class will cover topics such as operating systems, web searching, storing files, e-mailing, safety, etc.  Join us for all 4 sessions or choose the ones the suit your needs.  We will be working with PC computers in our lab, but will also discuss the differences with Macs.

All classes are free (thanks to OTT Communications!), but space is limited.

Pre-registration is REQUIRED!
