Hunter Safety: Firearm Skills and Exam Day

The Dept. of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife's Hunter Education Course is more than a 'gun safety' class. The basic mandatory course is taught by trained, certified volunteer instructors according to statewide standards. The course is made up of an "at home" portion before the classroom instruction. #1 - Students must successfully complete the free online Official Maine Hunter Safety Course at: https://www.hunter-ed.com/maine/ #2 - Students print their voucher (that is valid for one year) and this will allow attendance at a Skills and Exam Day. Please make sure you print this voucher and bring it with you. #3 - Students register for the Skills and Exam Day! #4 - Students bring a complete survival kit with them to Skills and Exam Day. Students should bring a snack/light dinner with them (as class work continues through dinner time) and dress to be outside.

Gather in community for this short course in permaculture design. This introduction will give you chance to explore the ideas of permaculture and play with some of the applications. The class meets for two days at George Perley House B&B. This 12 hour course will explore patterns in a nature, the permaculture design process, principles and ethics of permaculture and examine various scale of permaculture design including gardens, shelter, energy and community. Come learn about the emergent dance of sun, soil, water in the landscape and learn to see, with a keen eye, what nature is doing with all of that. Come imagine what else the world could be if we were acting like nature. Bring a notebook and pencil.

Maine Driving Dynamics - Adult

Maine’s Driving Dynamics course offers all drivers the opportunity to improve their defensive driving abilities. This five-hour course will include discussion of collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits and attitudes, and the basic elements that constantly challenge drivers on Maine highways. Students completing the course will receive a three-point credit on their driving record. A Certified Maine Driving Dynamics Instructor teaches this course.

The Mediumship II class will offer an extension of Mediumship I, additional student participation with more in depth informational exercises. “How to” perform readings for clients in person, on the phone, and or over the internet, group gallery reading exercises, Tarot card reading exercise, group soul rescue exercise, human, animal and environmental energy reading, and channeling. Also how to prepare spaces, techniques in clearing and cleansing home and work environments. How important it is to know your limits with clients and practice good self care. Also a discussion of tools of the trade, i.e.. table tipping, past life regression, ghost hunting, and paranormal investigating. Course materials needed: notebook, pen, water bottle, and personal tarot deck any type. *Mediumship I class is a prerequisite for this course*
